L-Acoustics P1 AVB processor is een audioprocessor met drie hoofdtoepassingen: Hij kan FOH (front of house) worden gebruikt om bijvoorbeeld te wisselen van mengtafels, het systeem naar de wens van gasttechnici te EQ’en of om de signalen vanuit de mengtafel naar verschillende zones/stacks/rigs te distribueren.
Daarnaast is het een uitgebreide audiobridge met analoge en digitale in- en uitgangen voor het converteren van analoge signalen naar digitale formaten waaronder AES/EBU en AVB, en vice versa. Bijvoorbeeld worden via AVB de signalen van maximaal 8 audiokanalen tijdcorrect en met extreem lage latency bij de diverse ontvangers afgeleverd. De P1 audio processor verzorgt ook hoogwaardige samplerate-conversie. Ten slotte, maar niet noodzakelijkerwijs het minst belangrijk is de functie als platform voor de L-Acoustics M1 meetsoftware. Voor meetfuncties zijn er onder meer vier microfoon ingangen voor gelijktijdig gebruik en offline kunnen vertragingstijden en EQ-curven worden berekend.
NETWORK MANAGER
De L-Acoustics P1 audioprocessor is volledig geïntegreerd in hun LA Network Manager en kan dan ook een cruciale rol spelen in het (fijn)afstemmen van de meest omvangrijke PA-systemen, waarbij bijvoorbeeld ook het functioneren van drivers in individuele speakerunits in de gaten wordt gehouden en actie wordt ondernomen wanneer er een defect optreedt, om verdere schade aan de systemen te voorkomen.
ARCHITECTUUR
De architectuur van de L-Acoustics P1 audioprocessor / measurement platform voorziet in 20 inputs (4x mic/line, 4x line, 4x AES/EBU en 8 kanalen via AVB – listener) en 18 outputs (hoofdtelefoon – stereo, 4x line, 4x AES/EBU en 8 kanalen via AVB – talker). Informatie over de instellingen en meetgegevens wordt verzorgt door een kleuren-TFT-touchscreen van 320 x 120 pixels. Voor het routen en mixen zijn er 4 matrixbussen beschikbaar elk met EQ en dynamische processing. Audio kan worden afgespeeld door middel van USB-media.
